The Dales are the centre of our work: limestone villages, gritstone farmhouses, field barns and converted agricultural buildings, often in exposed upland settings.

From Harrogate's spa-town villas and Ripon's historic centre to market towns, moorland villages and the coast. Stone dominates, with brick in parts of the Vale of York and on the coast.

Gritstone terraces and villas in the Pennine towns, and large residential suburbs around Leeds and Bradford where extensions and whole-house replacements are common.

Sheffield's stone-built suburbs, Doncaster and Rotherham's mix of Victorian, inter-war and modern housing, and a steady amount of new-build and self-build activity.

Brick is more common here than elsewhere in Yorkshire: Hull's terraces, Beverley's Georgian streets, Wolds villages and exposed coastal towns.

York has one of the largest concentrations of historic buildings in the country, with an extensive central conservation area and many listed buildings. Georgian and Victorian houses dominate much of the city's older housing.
