Windows in the Dales is a trading style of Home Glazing Ltd. Home Glazing Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through this website and in connection with our services.

Details you choose to send us by email, phone or WhatsApp: usually your name, contact details, the address or area of the property, information about your project, and any photographs, plans or drawings you share.

If you go ahead with a project, the information needed to survey, quote, order, install and invoice it.

The enquiry forms on this website (Request a quote, Build your brief, Send us your plans and Tell us about your home) do not send or store anything on our servers. When you press send, your own email program opens with your answers filled in, and nothing reaches us unless you choose to send that email.

To help us understand your enquiry, the email includes a short note of the pages you viewed on this website during your visit, the page you first arrived on, the website that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. You can see and delete this note before sending.

Some tools save your progress in your own browser so you don't lose it: saved ideas, your brief and unfinished form answers. This stays on your device, is never sent to us automatically, and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

The website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

To reply to your enquiry and give advice or a quotation, because you asked us to (steps before entering into a contract).

To survey, supply, install and support your windows and doors, because it is necessary to perform our contract with you.

To keep business, accounting and tax records, because the law requires it.

We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked to receive them, and we do not sell your information.

Only where needed to deliver your project or run our business: for example our installation teams, the manufacturers and fabricators who make your windows and doors, our sister company that supports supply, and our accountants and IT providers. Each receives only what they need.

We may also share information where the law requires it, for example with building control or HMRC.

Enquiries that do not go ahead are kept only as long as they are useful for following up, then deleted. Records of completed projects are kept for as long as needed to support guarantees and aftercare and to meet legal and tax obligations.

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to pass to someone else. Email projects@windowsinthedales.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
