Questions
Who is Windows in the Dales?
Windows in the Dales is a Yorkshire replacement window and glazing company, a trading style of Home Glazing Ltd. We supply and install windows and doors for homeowners, builders, architects and developers.
Where is Windows in the Dales based, and where does it work?
Our main installation hub is in Leeds, with teams covering Skipton, Leeds and the North Dales, and Sheffield, Barnsley and South Yorkshire. We work across the Yorkshire Dales, North, West, South and East Yorkshire and York.
What does Windows in the Dales specialise in?
Aluminium and heritage steel-look aluminium windows and doors, timber-look uPVC flush casements and sliding sashes, and sliding and bifold doors — with particular experience of Yorkshire stone houses and heritage-sensitive properties.
Which manufacturer systems do you supply?
We specify, supply and install selected systems from Cortizo and Smart Systems (including Alitherm Heritage) in aluminium, and the Residence Collection in uPVC. We do not claim approved-installer status with any manufacturer.
What types of property do you work on?
Stone houses, cottages, farmhouses, barn conversions, period homes, conservation-area homes, contemporary houses, extensions, renovations and new builds.
Do you work on conservation-area and listed properties?
Yes. We check the planning position for the address before specifying, and tell you if a listed building needs timber or a specialist rather than our range. We never tell you a change doesn't need permission.
Do you undertake larger projects and work with architects and builders?
Yes. Our largest published project is a West Yorkshire stone self-build with 32 windows and 4 doors, delivered with our sister company Windows in the Lakes. We quote from drawings, elevations and window schedules.
How do I get a quotation?
Use the quote form, send photographs or drawings, or call 0113 460 6541 (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm). We aim to turn quotes round within 48 hours of having the information we need.
What happens after an enquiry?
We review what you have sent, give an initial view and budget band where possible, arrange a measured survey, then send a written specification and quotation. Installation is carried out by our installers, followed by a structured handover.
