Aluminium windows use a strong, slim metal frame, allowing more glass and less frame than most other materials. Frames are powder coated in the chosen colour.

Heritage steel-look windows are aluminium windows designed to reproduce the slender frames and glazing bars of traditional steel windows. They are not steel.

In a flush casement window the opening sash closes level with the outer frame, rather than sitting proud of it as on a standard casement. The result looks much closer to a traditional timber window.
