Costs & Investment
What shapes the cost of a project, and where money is well spent.
- Are Aluminium Windows Worth It?They're worth it if you value slim frames, large glass areas and low maintenance — typically on extensions, contemporary homes and larger projects. On a small cottage replacement where appearance can be matched by flush uPVC, the extra cost may be harder to justify.
- How Much Do Replacement Windows Cost in Yorkshire? It depends mostly on how many windows you're replacing, what they're made of and how difficult the openings are. As a rough guide, a few uPVC windows is usually a project of a few thousand pounds; a whole house in uPVC or flush casements often falls between £10,000 and £20,000; whole-house aluminium, heritage steel-look or sash projects commonly reach £20,000–£40,000; and large architectural glazing schemes go beyond £40,000. A survey and written specification fixes the real figure.
